So, this is just the first of hopefully many journal entries to come. I was always scared to have a deviantART account because there are some simply incredible artists in this network. But I feel it's time to finally give displaying some of my stuff a chance.

I was just recently accepted into the School of Visual Arts on 23rd St. in Manhattan. I was lucky enough to be admitted after throwing together a portfolio in about two months, it really was a miracle. Drawing seriously is basically new to me as is all the crazy mediums that people use. I can't help but feel lost in a world of so many talented people. I hardly have any of the tools or programs to truly express my creativity. My intended major is Advertising which basically takes a similar path as graphic design and I couldn't be more excited and petrified about going to art school.

Currently I'm using a $200 plain ole' digital camera (Canon Cyber-shot). As much as I hate being a poor college student, it gets the job done and takes pretty decent pictures when the lighting is right. I absolutely love photography and I always try to fine a way to get my pictures into my digital work.

For now I only have a few things posted, but hopefully I'll do some nice drawings, photography, and digital work over the summer.
